We have a 'media PC' and TV monitor in the room next to our 'home PC'. We can share programs (eg. itunes) between computers, including graphics, via the router. That works nicely, and the big 50' TV screen displays everything without distortion. Can we keep DVD Profiler on both PCs and share the database? How do you set up that kind of client/server system? I'm afraid we would need idiot proof, step by step instructions, so anyplace we could find that ?  Thanks, Aline

The easiest way would be to use the integrated sharing tool in
"Tools -> Options -> Shared"
1. Simply check the option "Share my collection on network" on the computer that contains the database (Host). You can decide here too, if the client can only view the database or change it.
2. Install a copy of DVDProfiler on the "media PC" (Client) and enter your license key. (With your license you are allowed to install DVDProfiler on as many computers as you like)
3. On the client go to menu "File -> Open Database..." Click on the button "Shared Database" and follow the instructions.
4. Done
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
