G'day
Is it at all possible to change the ratings to reflect those used in your country (mine being Australia)?
Ex. ADULT = MA 15+    NC-17= MA
Changing the Region in the profile has no effect so I guess there maybe a file somewhere that I could edit to get around this prob.
Any ideas guys??, Thanks in advance.

You need to change the profile's locality to Australia.

Click "DVD" at the top of the program and choose "Change Locality".

But fair warning: If you change to locality of a profile to Australia that wasn't really sold in Australia (for example: you imported from the U.S.) and you change the locality, then you won't get anymore profile updates for this DVD.

A profile is made unique by its UPC and its locality. If you change it, you switch to another profile.

Select the profile that has the correct rating
Select DVD->Copy
Now flag all the profiles you want to change, either via space bar or filters and then CTRL-A or via the Collection->Flags menu
Select Collection->Flagged->Paste and choose "Rating"

and bear in mind that you shouldn't contribute any of these changes to the main database (although the program itself might suggest this).

(You haven't given any suggestion that you would contribute these but since the program would suggest it I thought better safe than sorry..)

Hi Pauls,
Thanks for keeping an eye on me, mate .. I never intended on sharing it with the word (I'm not that clever to be able to), I was getting frustrated with the fact that I couldnt rate my DVD's in a fashion that I'm used too,...yeah yeah, call it nit picking  but NC-17 and the like mean diddly squat to me, it's just a personal issue.. one of many my missus seems to think I have.

A completely different approach: Why not use tags?
You could create a tag for every australian rating and assign it to the according profile. That wouldn't 'break' the profiles so updates would still work.

Only small problem I see: as far a I know tag can not be used in reports
