Hi

I have 2 databases in DVD Profiler, one for DVD's and one for Blu-Ray's.

Is it possible to combine the into 1 database?

Yeah, I think this would work:
1. back up the smallest of the two (let's say it's DVD) > full backup
2. open your other DB (Blu-ray in this example) and select: Restore DB
3. Instead of whole DB, select: only for these profiles and tick all profiles.

I think that should import all your DVD profiles into the Blu-ray DB, without overwritting the entire DB.

Better to be safe than sorry, so first I would make a back-up of both DB's, just in case

Taro's descrition is correct.

During import, just make sure to un-select all those databse related settings as well. Then it will merely merge the imported profiles to the open collection.

That's great to hear. And if you still wish to distinguish DVD from Blu-ray in your unified DB, you can create two custom category tabs: one for DVD and one for Blu-ray, check in the options that those custom categories should be included in the Owned section and you're all set:

DVD tab: only DVD's
Blu-ray tab: only Blu-rays
Owned: DVD+Blu-ray

That's how I did it and I feel it works great:

You may want to re-sequence your collection number if this caused duplicates.

It helped me a lot, but I've got one question, how do you move all the dvd/brs at once.

You mean from one collection to another? By flagging.
Either flag them manually one profile at a time by hitting space, or filter them to your liking (e.g. Ctrl&f -> Formats and then choose BD) and press Ctrl&a to flag all visible.
Now Collection -> Flagged -> Move to and off you go.
