| Posted: | | | | I'm auditing a mini series from the BBC. There were a couple roles that aren't in our crew list and was wondering if they translate to ones that are and are included.
I have one for "dramatised by," one for "film sound" and one for "designer."
Thanks for the help! | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | Designer is likely to be Production Designer (unless listed in a Sound section), Film Sound would be Sound.
I don't think we are allowed to used "Dramatised By", although Screenwriter must come close.
Locally, you can use "translations" of course. | | | Hans |

Thanks for the help! Designer -> Production Designer Film Sound -> Sound Dramatised By I'm not sure. Is that the only writing credit? | | | Cor |

| Posted: | | | | Designer > Production Designer (This is pretty common for British TV Programmes) Dramatised By > Screenwriter and see no reason not to use them, the rules say Quote: For each category, include only those people credited with the roles listed in the "Role" and "Credited As" columns. If someone is not credited with one of these roles (or direct translations of these roles), do not include them in the Crew section. These are direct translations from British English to American English. Film Sound > Probably Sound but not sure about this one |

| Posted: | | | | There is no writing credit (except for OMB...it's a British version of the Secret Garden).
Figured the Film Sound credit=Sound, but wanted to double check that.
Had no clue on designer, so will add that.
Dramatised by had to be comparable to something in our charts, I thought. So Screenwriter? Any other thoughts on it?
Thanks again! | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | Film Sound is simply Sound. Often found alongside 'Studio Sound' where something's been partially recorded on videotape (in the studio) and on film (on location). |

| Posted: | | | | These first ones are from Wish Me Luck, but I should have been making a list because over the years I've run across a lot more.
Some more British crew, how do they fit in Invelos' scheme of credits: Vision Controller, Vision Mixer | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own. Ineptocracy, You got to love it. | Posted: | | | | I know what a vision mixer does and there is no Invelos equivalent, but I've no idea what a vision controller does. For the rest I agree with the others. |
