| Posted: | | | | On multiple occasions it happens when I enter a new purchase in DVDP app version, that after syncing with the desktop version the decimals (after the , or . depending or your local settings) amount disappears and changes to 00. Example:
24.49 becomes 24.00 30.99 becomes 30.00
So far, it has happened with 75% of purchases I've entered with DVD app. Both the desktop and app show the wrong (decimal-less) price after syncing.
Info regarding versions:
- DVDP desktop latest build on Windows 7 Ultimate, with locale set to Dutch (Belgium) - DVDP app on iPhone4 using latest IOS and keyboard set to English most of the time (sometimes Dutch)
In Dutch, we use a comma to differentiate the decimals, whereas in English a dot is used. Could that be the cause? Dutch: 24,49 English: 24.49
Perhaps in that conversion things went wrong? Please let me know if you need more input. | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies | | | Last edited: by Taro |

| Posted: | | | | Just to make sure I understand, you have this problem when you enter prices on the IOS device and then synch with desktop. After you synch with desktop, both programs show the wrong amount.
Is that correct? | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

Is that correct? Yes, that's correct. I can't say for sure if it's the sync that's causing it, or if the IOS version converts the decimals to .00 even without syncing (and I only noticed after syncing), but the problem essentially is as you described. EDIT: I just gave it a go in IOS version: selected an entry in the wishlist, moved it to ordered, entered the date and store. Then without syncing immediately checked in my ordered tab and there it was: price entered: 17.57 price shown: 17.00 I used a dot to separate the decimals, using US English keyboard in IOS. While in the order tab, I tried again by personalizing: Manually typed the 57 after the dot > still came back as 17.00 Manually typed ,57 > came back as 17.57 now So even though a dot is displayed, I need to type in a comma to seperate decimals as my locality is set to Belgium (in Europe, we use a comma) I think it would be a lot less confusing if: either DVDP IOS displays the character conforming the locality (dot for US, comma for Europe) either DVDP IOS converts either one to the correct one when we enter it As it stands now, it's pretty confusing as I see a dot on the screen but need to enter a comma. I hope that helps | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies | | | Last edited: by Taro |

| Posted: | | | | Ok, that is what I saw also. When the wrong divider is entered, it drops what is after the "invalid" character.
I can understand the confusion because it displays the period rather than the comma.
Thanks for your help with diagnosing.

| Posted: | | | | Update on this bug. It's even worse that I first expected! Not only does the problem occur when I enter the purchase (add to Ordered tab and enter the price), but also when I then move the profile from Ordered to Owned! Even though I had manually rectified all the problematic profiles, I now noticed that moving from Ordered to Owned or a Custom category effectively again erases the values after the comma/dot. I can weed through piles of bills again to find the exact amount ... a second time. Please, is this bug being studied for a fix for the next release? It causes a lot of trouble for me | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies |

When I use comma, the amount is correct until I move the profile to another category, at which time it drops the amount after the comma/point When I use point, the amount after the comma/point gets immediately discarded upon exiting the profile. However, I think I found a temporary way to solve this: in the settings of my iPhone, I changed the locality from Belgium to United States. That seems to have fixed the problem for now. It's not ideal, but at least it seems to work for now. | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies |
