How to get the high resolution cover ? (DVD profiler licenced) |

I've a licence for DVD profiler, as a result I can see high resolution image for the covers of my DVD, this is nice.
I'm converting now my dvd in a format readable by my Apple TV 2, and I can put a cover for this to have a nice layout on the apple tv
=> hence my question: how can i get the high resolution image of my dvd covers in order to add it to iTunes ?
I've found the images at the location: C:\Documents and Settings\<Windows Username>\My Documents\DVD Profiler\Databases\<Database Name>\Images, but it's not the high resolution set |

"HiRes" is relative though. The pics you get from the online database usually only have 700 x 500 pixel with a resolution of 96 dpi.
The maximum DVDProfiler can handle is 1400 x 1000 (96 dpi). For getting to this maximum you'd have to do your own scans.
The path you found for the pics is the correct location. When "HiRes" is enabled you should find the better covers there. Note that you'd have to refresh all covers first if "HiRes" wasn't enabled yet. For doing this go to DVDProfiler menu "Online -> Refresh All Images ..." | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!

Further more, in this directory, the name is an identification number hard to find, it's internal to DVD profiler
I would love to have a script on my mac, i type on a string, and it retrieves the image of the cover
I can code this with sharing access to DVD profiler (as the DVD profiler for iOS does this way)
=> Is there a public api to connect to the sharing server of DVD profiler ? I've seen it's common http post command, but not pure ascii, it uses a custom protocol, any idea of this protocol ?

So just look up the UPC or disc ID of the cover you want in DVDP, then you can easily find it with a search in windows/mac ... but you didn't hear it from me ... | | | Blu-ray collection

See Image naming conventionsAlternatively you could setup a small webserver on your windows-machine and make static HTML-pages with XSLT from the XML-Export that gives you links to the pictures. The use of dpi as part of the image size description is useless. The dpi only comes into play when printing said image with programs like PhotoShop. For visual display, only the actual pixel dimensions come into play.
The exception to the rule, that I've seen, is when importing images into FrameMaker, as the dpi is taken into account. Why? Ultimately the result is a printout, i.e., printing is involved. | | | Mr Video Productions

Thanks Maybe my Restifier plugin (available in downloads/plugin here on the Invelos site) would help you out? Unfortunately it can't return a list of all profiles including the titles - it will get the ID only when getting the list, you can then retrieve each profile individually. It might be easy to add a way to get the list including titles directly, if there is interest for it and I find some time somewhere. | | | Regards
