Hi,

When I tried to rebuild my database I get errors such as:

cannot create file c:\user\hp\document\dvd profile\reports a check box for each movie.dpr

I uninstall the program and reinstalled it. I tried using the backup.dpb file but it stops half way and tells me there is a problem with the creation of the database. I tried using two other saved .dpb files but the same thing happens again. I have over 1,700 dvd.

How can I retore the database back without installing all those dvds?

It recently happen after updating to newer version.

You could try to not restore the full backup but explicitly select all profiles and uncheck everything else (especially "reports").

Since updating to new version problems with database even after rebuilt. check internet and firewall connections all is fine. Getting error: Http error code 87

Can't figure out what to do. I have been using this software for years without problems. Used tools repair profile database and still problems saving to usb drive.

Only change I made was to set file folders location to usb external drive. I also save to the save folder on the usb drive.

Any suggestions appreciated.

What are you doing in the program when you get the HTTP error code 87?

You can also submit a technical support ticket (under the support link at the top of the page).

I am just trying to backup the data file from the menu choices in DVDprofiler to a usb external drive. I have never had problems backing up the file. Thanks for the info on support.

Hi,

Problem fixed. USB drive had corrupted file system. Reformated USB drive and I was able to backup the database file as usual.

Thanks to all who helped.
