Declined for that reason:
Please use birth years only to distinguish between otherwise identical cast and crew. New birth year submissions must be documented.

Contribution notes:
... note for birthyear on Jamie Anderson: there is a female actress with that name too, starred in Catch me if you can

in my opinion i did as asked

You have to list the sources that you used to determine the birth years.

I seldomly do this... so not 100% sure... but I believe you also have to list some titles for each of the Jamie Andersons. It seems going by the notes you left you only gave info on one of them.

The problem in this case might be that for the female Jamie Anderson there is no BY to be found. Even tough she has an official homepage she doesn't publish her date of birth there.

Had exactly the same problem and kept my data local for this reason.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

You need to provide documentation for:
1. the fact that there are two actors or crew members with the same name
2. to prove that you used the correct birth year

The best and most future proof way to go about it, is as follows:
- gather all your info, can be multiple links to IMDB, Wikipedia and other sites
- post that info in the Accepted BY thread here in this forum
- in your contribution, just copy-paste the link to the post you've made in the accepted BY thread

That should be sufficient documenation and at the same time, you make that documentation available to other users for future reference and contributions

No, that's not a problem. Actually, the same goes for most cases where we need birth years: generally, we're lucky if we can find one of them. Finding both of them is actually fairly rare. As such, when properly documented like Taro just described, the 1989 birth year will be accepted regardless of whether the second Jamie Anderson has a known birth year.

???
I always thought that the "Accepted BY"-thread was for accepted birthyears and not for those awaiting this status.

IMHO the correct way would be to provide the documentation in the contribution notes, once the BY got accepted this documentation can be published in the "Accepted BY"-thread.
