I am new to this product, purchased for the ability of syncing the database between computers and my iPad / iPhone.
What I am after is how to add a field called "Library Location?
I have over 1000 DVD's, and many more converted and stored on many Hard Drives.
I need, when entering the Movies, to be able to add a Location, like
A1
A2
A3 .....
B1
B2
B3
These would be DVD Locations.
HDD1
HDD2
HDD3....
These would be locations for movies stored electronically.
I also need to be able to print say a list / inventory list on each location. Eg, print a Inventory on all DVD's that are in the A Location, (would show A1, A2, etc) Or all movies, electronically stored on HDD1.
Obviously only one DVD would be stored in A1, however this DVD may have more than one movie on that DVD (eg collectors packs, for the actor, it has 3 movies on it).
Any ideas?

| | Posted: | | | | Well, you can't really add those categories but I know there is a way that you can use the translation file and "translate" a field you don't use, to something like "location." I'll let someone else give you the exact way of doing it as I don't.
However, what I can tell you is that there are fields in the personal information section. Edit the profile you want to provide a location for, go to personal information. Towards the bottom is says "discs" then to the right of that "location" and "slots." I use the custom categories to separate my DVDs, BluRays, and HD DVDs. You could create a category for each of your locations. | | | | Last edited: by GMan4911 |
