| Posted: | | | | How would we seperate the last two Chris Williams without BY's. I was thinking Christopher Williams for the one in A Bridge Too Far since he is Credited as Christopher in the opening credits but only Chris in the end Credits. Could this be done like we did Paul L. Smith. Here is the only real info I could find on the A Bridge Too Far Chris Williams. http://www.entertainment-kennethearle.co.uk/chris_williams.htm
Info below is from the List of Accepted Birth Years with Documentation
Chris Williams (1967) - actor: Curb Your Enthusiasm (Krazee-Eyes Killa!), Dodgeball, Weeds, Californication http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0930282/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Williams_%28actor%29
Chris Williams (????) - actor: A Bridge Too Far, The Servant, Colditz. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0930257/ http://www.entertainment-kennethearle.co.uk/chris_williams.htm
Chris Williams (????) - Writer of Bolt, Mulan, The Emperor's New Groove (Aslo does Voices and is credited in Bolt) http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0930261/ |

| Posted: | | | | My understanding has been that our lovely common name rule means that you're crap out of luck. One of many reasons why I personally don't bother with that rule. I too will be interested to see if there's a more "elegant" solution to getting around the rule that I might consider applying in future cases. |

| Posted: | | | | You are in luck because as far as I'm aware cast and crew are distinct anyway. You'll never see Silent Bob when you're checking Kevin Smith's crew credits anyway.
So you can distinct between the two actor Chrisses because you've got one birth year and the writer is different anyway.
But else, as Tim said: local fake birth years. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | I guess this is local for now. Also the Chris Williams that is the Director and Writer also has voice credits for Bolt as well. |

| Posted: | | | | There is another Chris Williams in the database.
Chris Williams
1967-1991 (FYI: The following links are adult in nature) http://www.iafd.com/person.rme/perfid=ChrisWilliams/gender=m/Chris-Williams.htm http://www.gayeroticvideoindex.com/S/9/4369.html
So now we have two actors in the database that would share the same BY. |

| Posted: | | | | Unique IDs would solve most of these problems. I currently have the same issue with the two Alan Parker's both born in 1944.
I'm using the BY for one but not the other purely to separate them in my local but this just cannot be contributed. | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |
