| Posted: | | | | Always associated Red River as being 1948 .. but today I noticed this on the opening screen- MCMXLVII or 1947 ... ?? IMDB has August Sepetember 1948 as initial release ... | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

| Posted: | | | | actually I see on Wiki this comment - Red River was filmed in 1946 but not released until September 30, 1948. So do we go by screen credits or actual dates?? as per another forum discussion ..? | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | Yeah, we ignore the copyright info and search outside sources for first theatrical run. Most of the time they're the same, but there are a fair number that aren't. |

Profiler rules call for the release date, which usually, but not always, matches the copyright date. People have called for a change before, but Ken hasn't gone along with it. | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |
