Going through my collection, adding Child Profiles for TV shows and box sets, noticed there are no Child Profiles for the above mentioned X-Files: The Complete Second Season in the older style Thinpak box set. Don't know how to go about creating these so I'm relying on someone with previous experience.
Just wanted to call attention to this. -kd5- | | | Time is the fire in which we burn. (Soran) |

If there is none for the thinpaks it could be because they just used the same discs for a re-release and the online only gets original release info (digipaks). | | | Pete |

Posted: December 15, 2009 5:45 PM ** ATTENTION SCREENERS ** Somehow someone was able to wipe out this profile yet never came up for a vote. Restoring data back to the profile it was before the wipe out.
Since I don't use child profiles for TV series, this data didn't get restored back in 2009. However the child profiles so exist they just need to be added back to the main profile and contributed. | | | Are you local? To my knowledge there are 3 different releases for this series: The 1st were the Collector's Sets which I have for seasons 4, 5, and 7, the 2nd release were the thinpaks I have for seasons 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, & 9 that are about an inch thick, the newest releases are the new ultrathin thinpaks that are about a half inch thick, which I don't have (wouldn't touch 'em). So my Season 2 isn't the oldest nor is it the newest. After reading Tracer's post, I'm surprised no one ever got around to restoring these profiles to the database since they were "messed up" in 2009. If I have some time I'll play around with this, see if I can't get Child Profiles from these discs and upload them. Can't promise I can figure it out but I'll try. If I recall correctly, the disc content is slightly different between the Collector's Edition and repackaged variants. The (Season 2) CE originally had 7 discs while the repackaged version has 6 discs. Fox moved the episodes on the seventh disc to the sixth but had to discard some of the original content found in the CE. Interesting ... I did some quick research and it appears the newest version comes in a standard size dvd case but holds 6 discs. Apparently, the Farscape Complete Series comes in the same type of cases and I found some pics here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/product-gallery/B002GP7ZWI/ |

If you're referring to the episodes as being identical (not changes/cuts) then I'd by default agree, but the discs (thus the profiles) have to be different; at least for the sixth disc. I have all of the CE box sets for X-Files and for Season 2, Episode 25 is on disc 7 which the repackaged version doesn't have. Thus Fox had to move this episode to disc 6. It's possible discs 1-5 are the same but disc 6 would have to be different. EDIT: If seems only Season 2 has this specific issue. The other seasons either have only bonus content on the seventh disc or only have 6 discs. | | | Last edited: by rdodolak |

| Posted: | | | | I don't have the re-pack of season 2. I hadn't realized thsi was done. Normally, only Universal packs five episodes to a disc. |

Thanks everyone, -kd5- I've uploaded the child IDs to the parent profile for this release. | | | Are you local? This is a local shop the strangers you would bring would not understand us, our customs, our local ways. |

Apparently the powers-that-be haven't approved them yet, I just tried to refresh child profiles for S2 and didn't get anything. Thanks though... -kd5- | | | Time is the fire in which we burn. | Posted: | | | | No it takes a while for the approval process, it goes up for voting first. Then after the voting process it is either approved or disapproved by the Invelos screeners. After that it is eventually released. | | | Are you local? This is a local shop the strangers you would bring would not understand us, our customs, our local ways. |
