Using VMFusion on a Mac

"PC" VMWare Fusion/Win7
Setup as bridged not NAT
Added DVDProfiler to Windows Firewall allow list

Mac: OSX10.6.5

iPad seems to time out on the connection settings when using the Host IP address after 1-2 minutes. If I use host name nothing happens quick!

Over WiFi with Apple's AirPort Base Station (N).

Never have a problem uploading database to internet.

Any ideas?

I primarily use Parallels, but decided to try VMware Fusion to see if I could replicate your problem. I had no issues syncing to my iPad under either hypervisors. Are you sure you're using the IP address of the Windows 7 VM and not the IP of your Mac?
