I invited my brother over on Monday and cooked some chicken. While here he started to get really sick and vomited many times.

I ate the chicken too that day and nothing happened.

Then I cooked some for myself on Tuesday and everything went fine for awhile that is until this morning when I had to get up and vomit. So far I've vomited 4 times, just liquid though.

So I don't know if the chicken was bad or if my brother gave me the stomach flu or something.

Anyway, I'm sitting here feeling icky and not eating anything. Trying to drink a little at a time to see if I can keep that down.

This is the first time I've gotten this sick in a decade or so. Not pleasant at all.

Ether you got real food poising or Novo Virus more commonly known as the sickness bug. I had a bit of it back in October. The virus makes your brain thing it has a poison in your body so you start to get nauseous.

I managed to stop it before i started puking by eating cheese and funnily enough chicken and some ginger snaps.

All of which help settle the stomach just go to bed and 100% the next day.

Yeah, might be Noro Virus. I contracted it earlier this year. Makes you feel really really sick and vomit all over the place. Fortunately it usually doesn't last long.

Hope you'll feel better soon, CubbyUps!

Thanks guys.

My brother's sickness lasted about a day and he's ok now.

The thing is that when I lay down that is when the vomiting hits. Right now I'm sipping luke-warm Coco-Cola Classic that I stirred to make it flat. Seems to be helping a tad.

I suspect the chicken was not the cause, first or second time. If it was, it would have hit you both the first time. Flat Coke is fine. I was taught fizzy ginger ale or 7Up/Sprite would work better: clear liquids, and the the fizzy actually aids putting the liquid into your system quickly. Once your stomach will settle, try bland crackers: soda crackers, graham crackers, etc.

But good hydration causes and corrects digestive issues... it causes the disgestive functions to work, and by over hydration, cures the problem... getting rid of the bad.

I hope you feel better soon.
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

Good news, I'm feeling a lot better today. Haven't vomited in over 12 hours. Still a little nauseous from time to time but overall much better.

Yeah, I'm starting to think it wasn't the chicken either. My brother said that a coworker at work was sick from "stomach" problems last week. So it's very likely he got it from him and then gave it to me.

Glad to hear you're feeling better, Cubby. We only rarely stop to think how lucky we are that we are healthy. It's only when we feel sick that we realize how happy we are when we're in good health. Stomach related infection can indeed be easily transmitted, even by a simple handshake so that's probably where you got it. Best be careful for the next few days and not eat any products made with milk.
