| Posted: | | | | I've submitted a new profille and stupidly managed to end up with 4 times the same comment. Here is what I've done:
Firtst I've uploaded a new profile. Then I've edited the comment. Then I saw that I the edited comment didn't overwrite the old one, it's just added below. Then I withdrew the contribution and uploaded the whole profile again. Then I thought I might have been to fast, withdrew again and uploaded it once more a day later.
That was six days ago and as far as I can tell the withdrawn profile or at least it's comments are still online (but not part of the public database). So what should I do? Upload again adding the comment another time or should I wait more? |

| Posted: | | | | The notes of the the withdrawn contribution will still be in the contribution comment forum. These notes aren't linked to your new contribution. Editing a comment isn't like editing a post here on the forums. The original note remains and the edited note will appear below the original note (within the post of the note).
Am I correct that you have uploaded a profile that wasn't in the online database yet? In most cases a new profile will be reviewed and approved or declined the same day when it was being uploaded.
I would wait till your last contribution is reviewed before uploading a contribution for that profile again. | | | Cor |

Because the current state is withdrawn for almost a week now: step 1: submitted (1), edited (2), withdrawn step 2: submitted (3), withdrawn step 3: waited 1 day, submitted (4), withdrawn The (x) means the number of times I've 'managed' to add my comment |

The (x) means the number of times I've 'managed' to add my comment Withdrawn comments will remain in the forums but serve no purpose. So I would resubmit and then this contribution will be reviewed by the new notes. Not by the notes of the withdrawn uploads. | | | Cor |

| Posted: | | | | BTW: While your submission is still pending you don't need to withdraw it for making changes to it. Simply re-upload it, this will overwrite your pending submission. By this way you could even remove a submission completely off the record. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Except when you're adding a Birth Year that isn't in the db yet. In that case when you are re-uploading because you forgot something it won't overwrite but gets a new contribution next to the last one. | | | Cor | | | Last edited: by Corne |
