Just bought Gladiator: Sapphire Series from HD Movie Source. In my order it says Remastered Version, but how do I know that it's actually the new remastered version. Is there another UPC or anything else that confirms that this is the remastered version?

Does it look better?

Yours is the remastered edition, but pre-recall. Meaning, while it is remastered it has excessive DNR that has been corrected in later pressings of the same disc/UPC. Devion27 is indeed correct when he says that the corrected version has a yellow UPC, while the original release has a white UPC.

There's an exchange program, but I don't know it's open to folks outside the U.S...

I believe that all this applies only to the North American release. If you've got the European release I think you already have the corrected version.

I trust the disc IDs are also different but since I only have the Swedish release I can't help you with those.

I got the US version. In the link you provided there is a scan from the bottom of the back reading the numbers: 11111016517, the back on my cover reads: 11111016515 Meaning what?

I would have thought that, if the remastering was of any use, the informations from the online B-rD comparisons would suffice to identify the version.
