Can anyone tell me what region is The Wizard of Oz (70th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Edition) [Blu-ray]?

Amazon has it listed as Region 1, which makes no sense what so ever, but Bluray.com has it listed as region free. I'm from Australia so I really need to know before I buy it.

It's Region Free. Warner never codes their Blu-ray releases.

Check here also: http://bluray.liesinc.net/

Are you positive about this? A lot of titles on that list are listed as region 1/A at Amazon.

As you can see in the list Katatonia linked to, Warner releases are NEVER zone coded. So if I were you, I would feel safe buying it.

Region info on Amazon is unreliable - instead of really looking into the actual region coding, they it seems they're going for "play it safe" in order to prevent any claims from dissatisfied customers.

Yeah it would seem that way, I was just in a live chat with amazon and I asked if they could check the itself, they still said it was region 1. That's if they really actually did check it.

That only goes to show their ignorance. There is no such thing as Region 1 for Blu-rays, just zone A.
