| | Posted: | | | | There are a number of complete TV series I would like to have or to complete TV series that I started, but the major distributors or retailers don't seem to be interested in complying. Epic DVD Paridise is one site has some interesting titles. Comments anybody! Has anybody dealt with these people or similar sites? What is the quality of their offerings? After Universal offered Earth: Final Conflict: Season One, I thought Earth: Final Conflict: Season Two would soon follow. But I got tired of waiting for Univeral, and I bought it new from one of Amazon's "these sellers, b agabook, New York based." It is the Canadian released version distributed by Alliance. It looks as good as the other four sets in the series.The only complaint is el cheapo version of a digipak which has been previously discussed in this forum. This is not the first time I have run into this packaging. In fact I have mastered the technique of putting the discs back so they don't fall out. Hey, I've tolerated Mill Creek & Timeless. I have bought from Amazon.ca, ( Relic Hunter Series 1-3, again Alliance same cheesy packaging) and Shout!, ( Ironside) with acceptable results. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.

Perry Mason will come out 16th November for 260USD-340USD, from them available now with "custom artwork" AKA out of their own color-laser-printer for 75 USD and "These DVDs are region free so they will play on any DVD player Worldwide"
5 other titles I hat a quick look at bear the same mark of Cain.

There is a section of the American copyright law known as "The Berne Act" that Clearly states: films unreleased in the United States, including original versions of films altered and/or edited for release in the United States, are NOT protected by American copyright; thus, they are considered public domain. The entire purpose of our website is to provide otherwise unavailable films or television shows to the serious collector. So it all seems shabby to say the least! I wouldn't order there personally! | | Posted: | | | | I've dealt with some of these sites, but I know beforehand what I'm getting into as far as quality, etc. A lot of them even state that once a product that they offer comes out with an official release, they pull the "bootleg" from their product offerings. For instance, some sites won't sell "Dark Night of the Scarecrow" (cult classic from 1981) since it came out with an official release 3 weeks ago. Long story short, keep your expectations low when it comes to these sites. P.S.: Mill Creek packaging...Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr   | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT.
FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.

1. Where is the server located? Surprisingly in Canada...
2. Who is the owner of the domain? Whois-data is "protected" by an anonymizer!
3. Are there any addresses and / or telephone numbers? NO!
Furthermore the GeoTrust- and McAfee-Seal are faked (they are images on the shop site)!
