Good morning, Sirs,

just a quick poll to see your opinion, no need for elaboration:

Should the existing names "January LaVoy" and "Erika LaVonn" be changed to "January La Voy" and "Erika La Vonn" (adding spaces behind the small capital A)?

Love, bbbbb

If you compare the names with Christopher Evan Welch, there is a definite larger gap on your two names. Therefore I personally would split them.

I believe the space between is because of having the A of LA in a smaller font, so I would go with LaVoy and LaVonn.

The spaces between words are always the same wide gap. The gap width only differs within a word, depending on the character combination.

FWIW, Miss LaVoy appears to have an official website, and Miss LaVonn appears to have a twitter account. Each site uses the spelling I've quoted.

Correct spelling is irrelevant for the online. Only "as credited" matters, and  I "see" La Voy and LaVonn. It is obvious that we don't have LaVoy and La Vonn...

Spaces for both.
My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT.
FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it!

I agree with VirusPil:  while there are spaces between the La and the rest of the name, I believe that is simply from the font change for the small letters, because the space is not as large as between the other names.  I would go with LaVoy and LaVonn.

Absolutely no space. Draw a straight vertical line from the right edge of the A to the left edge of the V and they would appear to touch. The space is an optical illusion because of the shape of the letters. In case you're wondering why I'm so positive, it's because I have been in printing and typesetting for 45 years.

I never considered the optical illusion factor. I did as you suggested, you are indeed correct, and have changed my vote.

Thank you and a big green arrow for teaching me something new.

Or any other desktop publishing application. Just in case someone else is thinking it, these names could possibly be correct with a space and the person typing them in thought the space would look like a horses leg (industry term ), so they did not add more space. But, the bottom line is there wasn't one added to the screen credits.

I am in total agreement with your comment w.r.t. the online, and when I look at the screenshot I see LaVoy & LaVonn.  So I don't know where that leaves us <shrugs>.
