It's going to be tough to do better than the original.  Sure, they can make it more violent and do the quick edits for the attention deficit generation, but otherwise I'm at a loss as to why the Cohen's would want to even bother.

I don't see them doing better than the original either, but I will reserve judgement.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I don't think the Cohen's would put quick edits in. I can't remember a film where they were used by them.

Admittedly, I've not seen the original (because I cannot stand John Wayne), but the Cohen's have done right by me and it looks to be a very solid cast.

Hell, if I like it enough, it may motivate me to sit through something with Wayne in it.

Just an informational question:

Did anybody watch the trailer on youtube? How is the quality compared to the 88 MB .mov?
Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect]
