| | Posted: | | | | Hi, Everytime I ctrl+insert to add a new title (even if I do it twice within an hour) the Inetnet Database Connection download 10 x 1.92mb files.. I would have thought once in a while but everytime seems weird?
Anybody else this happens to? |

| | Posted: | | | | Hmmm..... the reason for such a large download is supposed to be when you update to a newer version or build of Profiler. The database info is downloaded automatically the first time so that it can match and work with features that have been added or changed.
But it should only do that once.
Any future updates, unless you wait years and there are no further updates to the program shouldn't be anywhere near that large.
My only suggestion at the moment is to try a database repair and hope that fixes it. If not, let us know. Try it out, and even if it downloads the 19MB of files again, you may have to wait a full day when the daily database update has occurred.
Options -> Utilities -> Repair Profile Database | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

On Vista and Windows 7 its located here:
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\DVD Profiler (username must be replaced with the name you use to login to windows)
Rename OnlineList.dod and OnlineListSel.dod to *.OLD
Then goto online --> refresh online profile list
PS. On Windows XP it's located In C:\Documents and Settings\\Username\Application Data\DVD Profiler if I'm not mistaken. | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm

When I updated to DVD Profiler 3.0 I kept Profiler 2.6 in a parallel installation for a while. This probably caused some problems. A fresh installation of Profiler 3.6 would be a good idea I guess. |
