Maybe I have to rephrase my question. Do you guys think it is possible to install and run DVD Profiler in a PS3? I would like to browse my collection on a big HDTV screen.

Without serious work and without destroying the gaming capabilities? No, sorry. Right, only way that *could* work is having an old firmware that allows installing linux, and then running Profiler in a virtual machine or with using Wine and installing the needed windows fonts. |

| | Posted: | | | | I found this question interesting. I was wondering whether a solution like GoToMYPC would work, so I did a little research and also called them. They said that the remote viewer is usually downloaded from the client browser using Java, so the client browser has to be Java enabled. If the client OS is not supported, then there is a default Java-based viewer. But the rep had never heard of anybody trying it on gaming platform. Anyways, maybe someday I'll play with it. They have a 30 day free trial, but first I have to check whether Xbox360 has a Java-based browser. Same would have to be the case for PS3 I guess. Thanks for the idea. By the way, in case you are wondering how this works: The Citrix software is installed on your host PC. This is the license you pay for. Your PC has a secure connection to the Citrix web site. Then, from "any" client browser on the internet, you log into the Citrix web site to gain access to your PC, and the viewer application is automatically downloaded in a supported OS, or the default Java viewer is used otherwise. Sounds neat and secure. (I don't own any Citrix stock, BTW ) | | | Thanks for your support.
