Can someone who owns this confirm the aspect ratio? UK release is 2.35:1 but the reviews at DVDTalk and IGN say the R1 is 1.78:1 whilst the review at DVDVerdict says 2.40:1.

Screenshots appear to be 2.39:1.

I'm trying to sort out a comparison for it at www.dvdcompare.net and hit a brick wall.

Just about to reach 50,000 releases and well over 2000 reviews now with things going from strength to strength. Recent updates include a new review layout and a log so if you go the bottom of a page that has been updated since we introduced it, you can see what has been changed.

You can also now search by country, director, year, distributor.

A couple of years ago we also spent months adding the director and tagline to all titles. Big job.

We have a couple of contests on the main page also right now including copies of Road Train on DVD and the next wave of Studio Canal Collection Blu-rays. They're open workldwide so check them out.

More (big) updates are coming in the near future.


The main aim of the site is to be an additional tool for people to select what they buy (along with their own reseach via DVD-basen.dk and DVDBeaver etc etc). We hope we achieve that and that it's of use to people.
