| | Posted: | | | | I wanted to know, are we allowed to submit cast and crew within the main profile even if child profiles with that info is already available? I only ask because I personally don't use child profiles for TV series and the info would be good to be in the main profile, but I've noticed in the last few contributions, this info has only been available within the child profiles and had not been submitted for the main one. Is it against the rules to do so?

The disc profiles contain the same info, just restricted to the episodes on that disc. | | | Karsten

| | Posted: | | | | While that is right.... it is "required" for the parent and the child profiles themselves are "optional" Some of you are making it sound like if someone does cast and crew for the child profiles they absolutely have to put that info in the parent profile too... but that is not the case either... as everything that is done on profiles this is also purely voluntary... we can't tell someone they have add any type of info to any profile.
I just wanted to make that clear... as it was sounding (at least to me) like some people are expecting more then what they should.
I mean what are you going to do if someone puts cast and crew info to child profiles... but don't copy it to the parent profiles (I usually copy it to the parent... but not always.) Vote no to the info in child profiles? Can't do that. Vote no to any update they do to the parent... can't vote no for something they are not adding.
Is it nice if some also adds it to the parent... yes... of course.
Can you force people to do so if they don't feel like it? Nope... don't see how. | | | | Pete |
