I was on holiday in Manchester this week and I got 6 Elvis movie DVDs with the Daily May.  I missed the last one today.

They all have the same barcode and my intention was to contribute as a set.  However when I tried to add the DVDs I discovered that there is already a DVD with this barcode 5 060087 870052 --  another Daily mail freebie.

Will DVD Profiler accept duplicate barcodes.  If no, is there a solution?

Any help will be appreciated.

Joe

DVDP will not accept duplicate barcodes within the same Locality, however you can add your discs by Disc ID. In the programme go to DVD / Add to Collection. Insert the disc in question and go to the By Inserted Disc tab. If the programme recognises your disc, you can add it. If not, uncheck the Download profile from Invelos checkbox at the bottom and you can add your disc manually.

Another option is to find the profile for the movie, download it, and then change the UPC to the Disc ID & update the locality.  Validate all of the information and submit.

What the good doctor is referring to is called "cloning". It starts with finding a different profile for the same movie. What's next can be found in this instruction.
