Hello.

I'm new to these boards since up to now I haven't had any problems with this great program. This is the issue (hope you don't mind the details  ):

So far I owned all three parts of the MATRIX-Trilogy on DVD. The other day I went and bought the first part on Blu-Ray since it's the one I like best.

Thus I wanted to delete the DVD of the first part from my DVD Profiler-Collection since I intend to get rid of it. The problem is that while the profile still appears in the Collection List on the left of the screen I can't activate it anymore by clicking on it. If I left click the movie title in the Collection List the main profile featured remains the one that I viewed before. The same happens when I right click the movie title in my Collection List and select delete - it asks me whether I want to delete the previous profile that I viewed.

I already tried all kinds of things e.g. by restoring that particular profile with the one from my backup database but the only success I had from doing so is that I now have TWO of those friggin' ghost profiles in my Collection List.

For details please view this screenshot:

English is not my first language and thus it's not that easy for me to describe such a specific issue but I hope you understand my problem and have an idea how to get rid of these ghost profiles because this is really annoying me!

Try a Database Repair. You'll find it under Tools->Options->Utilities (Extras->Optionen->Hilfsmittel)

Database repair is a possibility.

Another thing that comes in my mind if you just want to delete the profile, but you're not able to click on it:

Try to flag the profile with the flag feature under collection. (with the option flag above, ...) Perhaps after that you can delete it with flagged delete.

IIRC there was just a post with a similar issue just a few weeks ago... I believe the solution was to do a backup and select all your movies except the ghost... then delete your entire database... then restore from the backup...

i can't find the post at the moment though

I thought I'd chime in and mention that I've just encountered this same "ghost profile" problem with at least two entries in my database - entries that are a couple of years old (#1494 is one of them, and my most recent title addition was #2875).  Do we perhaps have a bug in the latest version of DVD Profiler?  Running 3.6.1 here.

EDIT: Database Repair resolved the issue for me.
