Is there a limit to the number of DVD's the DVD Profiler can handle?
I am finally getting around to putting all of my older dvd's into the program and now i keep getting error messages and am not able to continue.  Is it possible I maxed out the program?  I have tried to restart the computer and the program several times and still get the error.  Please help me.  I would like to finish adding my movies to my list.

I never heard of any such max... I am close to 2,000 titles in mine now... and never had any problem if that helps.

Have you tried the database repair?

Go to...

TOOLS --> Options --> Utilities

and see if that don't help.

The other possibility is have you entered your registration info in the software itself? If not then that might be the issue.

What do the error messages say?

While I am sure that there are physical limitation relevant to each user and the equipment...

DVD Profiler can manage any size collection.

As long as you have an unlimited license.  Without it, you can continue to build your DB, but other features will become unavailable.

I currently have 16,382 profiles in my Owned category without any problems.  I would suggest you run Tools=>Options=>Utilities=>Repair Profiler Database and see if that helps.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the ideas on how to repair the database.
That worked.  What would cause it to have a problem?
Before I ran the repair I was not able to add any more dvd's, When I would click on a dvd title it would show a different title, if i tried to delete a title it would delete the wrong title, etc...
But now that the repair was ran every thing works fine.  but what caused the corruption?  bad dvd?  adding to many movies at once?

It's doubtful that it was anything that you directly did (such as the examples you mentioned) that you need to worry about or to be sure not to do again. This just happen from time to time for some people. Hence why the database repair is there: it's not something extremely unique that has never been seen or considered.

The problem usually isn't on your end, but on the software end.  That's why I make sure to run Database Repair at least once or twice a month to prevent any catastrophic problems like the one you had from occurring.  Also make sure to back your database up on a regular basis.

Three things you need to remember

1. Backup

2. Backup

and the most important

3. Backup.
