How do you use this feature?

I was never able to connect. Could it be that the default port may be closed on my modem?

is this the right feature to use if one want to keep update his database between two different pc?
I may use one or another to add new dvd and then I want the other to be update with the dvd I've just added. I don't want each time to backup my database and recover it on the other pc...

now if I share the database I have 1684 dvd on one database and 4 less in the other... why??

I have Vista on the main laptop and XP on the 2nd one. I use FreeFileSync to synchronize the two computers.
Which are the dvd profiler directories to be synchronized? I see that there is one under Program Files, and another under Documents and Settings.

I got this to work, but it only works if DVD Profiler is open on both computers at the same time. If the program is not open on my desktop (where the database files are located), then my laptop gives an error message stating that it is "unable to load the selected database" (and yes I know that my desktop needs to be turned on regardless). If DVD Profiler is open on the desktop, then the laptop connects to the database with no problems. This seems impractical, let alone forces us to violate the licensing agreement which states that DVD Profiler can be installed on multiple computers only if one copy is open at a time.

Is this really what Invelos intends or is there something I can do that allows my laptop to connect, regardless of whether or not the program is running on my desktop?
