I have no idea how the count under "Owned" in parenthesis became such a huge number?  I can't figure out how to reset it back to the actual number of DVD's in the Collection.  Any ideas?

The first options when something doesn't look right from how you remember it not long ago is a database repair:

Tools -> Options -> Utilities -> Repair Profile Database

If that doesn't work, be sure that you aren't looking in the "All" tab by mistake or that you may have downloaded a bunch of child profiles into your collection (more entries than you originally put in there).

Another possibility is that one or more of your profiles has a larger "Count As" statistic than it should. To check this, highlight each entry and type CTRL+P to open the Personalize DVD window. In the top left area is one option that says "Count As:" with a number to the right. Make sure that each of them is set to "1".

If none of that works, let us know.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

He who MUST get the last word in on a pointless, endless argument doesn't win. It makes him the bigger jerk.

I have the same issue.  I repaired the database as recommended and added the Count As column to
my list of columns displayed in the owned tab and they all say count of 1 ( i also expanded every child entry).  My current counts are:
all (1784)
owned (213635812)
ordered (0)
wishlist (199)

What I think finally "solved" the problem for me was I found a listing where the count was blank.  When I changed that count to one it seemed to fix the error.

Hope that helps

There seems to be something up. For me, it's definitely happened the last few weeks, but suddenly...

All 1459
Owned 113669028
Ordered 1
Wish list 104

Allthough I've reassigned collection numbers, I've still got more than one disc with the same number, and I've got discs where it lists the collection number as one number, but if I go into personal info to change it, it lists a different number.

I'll try the repair utility.

(Apparently, I had invalid blobs offset in blob files for physical record)

Soooo, I ran the database repair, and now it's up to 165615232.

When it's repairing the database and it says "Error rebuilding index keys for physical record # 1458, error fixed but physical record deleted" it hasn't actually removed an entry, has it?

I've checked that every entry is being counted as 1 (adding the "counted as" field to the front page helps).

The number it comes up with changes if you take a title out of a boxset but keep it in your collection.

Any other ideas?

(Apparently, I've got 1349 owned, but if I go to upload to my oinline collection, it says 1348 and 1 "other". What's this "other" category that's not owned, ordered or wish list?)

That sounds like a "phantom profile" problem that quite a few other people have reported, including here.
Try the solution suggested there but make sure you backup first as it involves deleting your database!!!

I agree with northbloke - sounds like you're experiencing a "ghost" profile.
