Last week, I took my first humble steps in the movie business. I got a chance to do set photography at the shoot of a promo reel for a movie in development. The movie is titled Antwerp. It's about a guy who arrives in Antwerp suffering from amnesia. He winds up in a bar filled with extravagant models. When he goes to the bathroom, a model with her throat slit, appears in the mirror.

For those interested, I used a Canon EOS 550d with an EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens. I also shot a few images with an EF 50 f1.8 lens.

Here are some of the stills I made:

Thanks, editing will start somewhere next week. Hopefully, they can raise the necessary funds to make the actual movie.

Thanks, but it's not my work. I only did still photography. They're hoping to get it ready in time to enter it for the RazorReel festival in Bruges later this year, but the deadline is end of August, so they might miss it.

If they decide to put the trailer online, I'll make sure to post the link.

A quick edited first teaser was finished this morning. Sound isn't too good yet, the actual recorded sound hasn't been processed yet.

I actually liked this, at least for the teaser, it emphasises the atmosphere transported with the teaser.

Looks interesting.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I most certainly will. 2 more days of filming are planned, and I'll be there for still photography again.
So more to come in 3 weeks.

So, yesterday we shot a new scene, where 2 models dump the bodies of murdered girls.

We used an old abandoned cokes factory as a location:

Here is Naomi in costume:

And here is Morgane in costume:

The girls in action:

Dumping the body...

... into the well

We used 4 different places on the site. The girls first enter a first building in an exterior shot. We then have an interior shot in a second building where the body is dragged upstairs. In a 3rd building the body was dragged to the window. We used the same building in an exterior shot where the body is dropped out of the window. Then finally, it was dropped into a waterpit.

The factory was closed in 2002, and some buildings are already torn down. What's left is heavily vandalized, so it was an interesting location.

I hope you enjoy the pics.

A first edit of the scene we shot last saturday is done. The part where the guy looks out of his livingroom window is a placeholder scene. It will be replaced with a scene to be made with the girl in the 2nd photo of my first post.

You can view the scene here.
