I recently bought...

Currently the title in the database is...

Title: The Parent Trap / The Parent Trap II
Edition: 2 - Movie Collection

But going by the front cover... I am thinking it should be...

Title: The Parent Trap
Edition: 2 - Movie Collection

My thinking is that in this case the DVD Release has it's on name at the top. And it is just basically listing the titles in the set at the bottom of the case.

Am I thinking right... or do you think it is already in the database correctly?

If each movie is on a different disc or side, this is what I would title it, and I would create child profiles.  If both movies are on the same side of the same disc I would keep the existing title.

But per Rules the discs has nothing to do with the title. The rules state that the title comes from the front cover. How the are on the disc shouldn't matter at all.

I am just telling you how I would enter it in my database if I had this DVD.  Since there are, in fact, three titles on the cover, it does make the most sense to use the one that seems to be the name of the set rather than of the two movies.

It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Oh ok... apparently I wasn't completely clear. I am talking strictly for the online database. Which is why I brought it to the Contributions Forum instead of the General forum.

Is that where we're at?    I guess I really should read those headers at the top of the page.

Anyway, in case I've been confusing as well as confused, I agree with your assessment.

Indeed, this.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

To most accurately reflect the cover, it should be:

Title: The Parent Trap / The Parent Trap II
Edition: The Parent Trap 2-Movie Collection
99.9% of all cat plans consist only of "Step 1."

Because 'The Parent Trap' is in the largest font, I can't agree with that.  The most accurate representation would be...

Title: The Parent Trap
Edition: 2-Movie Collection

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?
