| Posted: | | | | From the Rules (Bolding by me) Quote: Rating Use the Rating shown on the DVD cover, with the following constraints:
For localities which offer it as a choice, enter "Unrated" for DVDs which:
Contain an alternate version of a film which received a theatrical rating, and which have no rating or are marked "NR" or "Not Rated" OR include "Unrated" on the front or back cover of the case Use "NR" for DVDs which do not qualify for the "Unrated" rating, and which have no rating or are marked "NR" or "Not Rated"
Use the “Adult” rating for all Adult films.
For DVDs with more than one rating shown (e.g. a DVD which includes an R and Unrated version), use the highest applicable rating with the following scale:
NR < Board Rating < Unrated < Adult. I have Box Sets that the child profiles do not have a rating on the cover but do have a rating printed on the disc, what rating should be used for these? Example: Lassie Box Set rated "U" Lassie Region 2 Released: 02/06/2008 [/DIVLEFT] [DIVLEFT MARGIN="10px"] Child Profiles no rating on cover (front or back), "U" rating printed on disc'sLassie Come Home Region 2 Released: 02/06/2008 Full Frame 1.33:1 Son of Lassie Regions: 2, 4, 5 Released: 30/12/1899 Full Frame 1.33:1 Courage of Lassie Region 2 Released: 02/06/2008 Full Frame 1.33:1 |

Agreed. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. | Posted: | | | | Ken was asked about using another official source if there is no rating on the case... he said as long as you know it is the right cut of the movie to use it... being on the disc seems to cover both. Shows it is the right cut of the movie and would be an official source for the rating. Sounds like you are safe using it. | | | Pete |

Discs that are not individually packaged have no cover so I would assume the disc is the correct source. That's what I've been using for years anyway... | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |
