Is there a way to let Online BY overwrite local?

I noticed almost all my profiles with John Cleese as cast member had BY 1939, unneccesary according to "accepted BY list". Then I discovered the Online was, in fact, corrected, my Local was NOT. Simple: An update should fix this... But it did NOT. (Neither automatic, nor manual.)

It might be a case of locked cast info, but - no....

Further investigation led to Release Notes:
"When a profile is downloaded with no birth year, the existing local birth years for that profile now remain"

Feature, not Fault?

As this is not handled by locks, but is somehow hardcoded, I look for a simple way to update 50+ profiles, any idea?

John Cleese should be an easy on to fix as there is only one.

Open up one profile containing him and go to cast. Select him on the right-hand side and click "find cast member" or browse to him on the left-hand side, either way. With him selected on the left-hand side click "Edit Cast member" and remove the BY. This will affect all profiles containing John Cleese.

Edit: but yeah, things would be much simpler if the program recognised a name without a BY as a separate entry rather than just assuming the BY is missing.

^ This... I was about to type the same...

And if both John Cleese entries have credits, choose the one with less credits and change these affected profiles first (i.e. replace the less credited John Cleese with the other).

IMO it's a feature, to let you keep fake BYs or BYs that are not contributable in your local without having to lock the whole credit list.

An answer within minutes, I can like

Now I get a warning "A duplicate record exists" - but I get the idea: I have to change the <10 correcrt profiles FIRST, to have unneccesary BY, to be able to change ALL back, least effort way...

[edit]
and while writing, jet another tip! Thank you both!

[edit2]
And as speaking of feature: The logical way to solve this (imho) should be a separate lock for BY, should it not?
