and is being changed to:
Canadian Film Development Company

I've never seen the name used without the fully spelled out Corporation. See also here where it shows some suffixes beyond Corporation. This doesn't answer the OP's question about Canadian Film Development Company but the point is you can't assume. How is it used in the credits? Canadian Film Development sounds a little goofy by itself. That's just an opinion on my part though and i wouldn't make a decision based on it.
