I noticed the cast photo of "Jack Barry" is actually a picture of "Jim Lange". Previously, I've tried to find out the best way to make corrections by searching the forums but just ended up making the change locally and then locking it.
I'd like to make others aware of the error.
Help, please.

I'm not sure of the best way to post it to the link suggested.
I have personal web space and I could put it there and provide a link to it but is this the best way?

I followed the link provided but mistakenly (I think) selected "New Topic" instead of "Post Reply".
I"m not clear as to what a "direct link" or a "hot link" is. The only option I saw was to provide a URL. I don't have a personal server and am not a member of any image hosting service. I uploaded the picture to the web space provided by my ISP and linked to that.
This sounds like a "direct link" which is in some way inappropriate. Please clarify.

You have a few options: 1. Slightly Net Polite way - Share the direct URL to the photo: http://strangejourney.net/misc/main.php/d/5731-3/WomenDrivers_001.jpg 2. More Net Polite way - Save the image and upload to your personal web server and either share the direct URL or display the image like above. 3. Net Impolite way - Display the image like above using my URL. This is known as bandwidth stealing because you're using the photo for your own use but the photo is from my web server so you're using my bandwidth for your purposes. It's not uncommon for web servers to be configured to refuse serving images unless they're being request from their own servers. |
