The problem with this is how do you make the technolgy even more advanced, unless they use worm holes, like the borg had or the one in Deep Space Nine. Maybe even having continued ralations with the Gama and Delta Qudrons. This is of topic but dose anyone know if Data is ever taken over by the Borg. I seem to recall someone tellin me about this a long time a go. I am at the end of season three rigth now and I am highly excited about the Borg being in the next episode. |

| | Posted: | | | | Thats the one I really wants to see but I am trying to do things some what in order and I think that comes after season five. All I have left to watch is season 1 minus the first disc of the origional serise, 4-7 of TNG, The animated serise and the first 10 movies. |

In the ST universe we cannot leave our Galaxy as the Q are responsable for the barrier surrounding it.
Now that would make for a good movie, just what were they so afraid of that they had to protect themselves this way. When is this explained, at some point in Next Generation. That sounds intresting |

| | Posted: | | | | In the origional serise they were knocked outside the galaxy by someone and species?(bunch of numbers) came from outside the galaxy in Voyager. In Next Generation they mentioned that some huge creature that had a space ship inside may have come from anoter galaxy, so there are ways in and out. Im wondering if the Q thing is from a show or a book, because if it is not from a show it is not cannon |

| | Posted: | | | | I know this will never happen because it would diminish merchandising tie-ins, but I think they should do an anthology series where we have a different ship and crew every week, generally out exploring the frontier and without quick access to Federation resources. This would add more drama as we'd never know if major characters would be killed off or not, or even if the ship would survive or not.

| | Posted: | | | | The problem with that idea is that the viewers will never form attachments to the cast which may be crucial to what is commonly perceived to be a dead genre.
