what does a "Sonido directo" do?
He's credited in the opening credits, followed by two "Montaje de sonido" (Sound Editor).
Production Sound Mixer?

Hasta la vista, bb 'Sonido directo' is something like Sound Recording -> Sound. But I'm not 100% sure. | | | Cor |

| Posted: | | | | Online Film Dictionary translates "Sonido directo" to "Direct Sound" (??), which I would interpret as "Sound Recordist". This isn't much of a help, I assume. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | 'Direct sound' in the context of an opening credit smells like a 'production sound mixer'. He is responsible for the direct sound from the set. |

I always thought that sound director is in Spanish 'director de sonido' or 'dirección sonido'. Directo in Spanish means 'live', 'directly', 'in a straight line'. | | | Cor |

| Posted: | | | | I would enter such a credit as Sound. Maybe someone who speaks Spanish or works in the Spanish film industry could enlighten us? | | | Cor |

As long as the Spaniards raise no objection, directo most likely feels like on location, so I used Production Sound Mixer. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect] |
