| Posted: | | | | I wouldn't.
I'm not totally sure on this, but I wonder if the "Character Actors" were "Actors" who performed the parts and then were drawn over via animation for the associated parts. Kind of like an early version of Gollum in the live action films via CGI.
If so, do they get a credit? They gave a performance that contributed to the film and does appear on screen in a different form. So I think yes.
Perhaps someone who is more of an expert on the film and how the animation was done can chime in. |

| Posted: | | | | Cubby, you're quite correct on how the animation was done. Bakshi's Lord of the Rings is well known for its extensive use of rotoscoping. ( wiki) That said, I do not completely understand the question. "Character Actors be listed as Additional Voices"? If someone is credited as "Additional Voices" then they should be listed for that credit. If someone is listed as "Character Actors" then that is how they should be listed. I do not know if the persons listed as Character Actors are the folk who did the live-action performances, but if they're listed in the film credits I see no reason not to credit them. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

| Posted: | | | | As I just mentioned in the other thread... the rules says exactly as credited. So if the Credits use "Character Actors" then that is what we use. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | If they are listed as "Character Actors" in the credits... then we must use "Character Actors" in the profile.
In other words... the profiles need to say the same thing as the credits. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I'm assuming it's the same as the DVD. After the cast, there's a character actor heading with a bunch of names. These seem to be people who were rotoscoped, but didn't do voices. |
