Hello all. Just started up DVDprofiler and it is empty.
Years of collecting, personal notes, prices, shoping friends and favourite places GONE.

I don't get it. I haven't done anything differently now or ever. Start the program, get the irritating update notification and then go in and add my details. But this time, it is empty.

The last thing I did was a week ago when I added my first Blu Ray movie and updated the online collection. Got another Blu Ray today that I was going to add to my collection but the program is surprisingly empty.

I downloaded the online collection hoping that one was complete and it was, however all my personal information wasn't included in the online version. Don't know what data the online collection holds, but some of it is missing.

So, what should I do?!?

Few things to try:

1) Check to make sure you did not open or create a new DB.  If so just open your old one.

2) Restore your back up

3) Download a copy from the On-Line version you last uploaded here.

One suggestion: before you start flailing away at recovery suggestions, copy everything from your DVD Profiler directory onto a USB drive, CD or anywhere else. That way, you can ensure that you can always go back and get exactly what you have now in case you inadvertently do more damage trying to recover.
Thanks for your support.

Search your local drives for other databases. It is highly likely that it is still there.
