Some Of The Reasons I Buy Movies, in nomparticular order

1-  It is a new relse that I want see
2- There is a buzz about the movie, TV show etc.
3- To complete a collection
4- A sequal or new season is relsesed, I am a completest.
5- Someone recommened it.
6- It is similar to something else that I found out about
7- It is on a list AFI top 100, Time Top 100, bestpictrire winner.
8- Good reviews
9- Bad reviews, i.e it is so bad it is good
10- It is on sale.
11- It is cheap.
12- It is in a prestigeous collection, Disney Platinium, Criterion.
13- It is out of print or going out print.
14- I have not seen anyhting from that genre in a while and even though I already have stuff from that genre I buy new stuff, The most recent example is anime.
15- A certain actor or actress is in it.
16- A certain director writer or producer madethe movie.
17- I don't have enough of a certwin gnre and I want my collection to be more divers and balance.
18-  I don't have any movies from a certaain country.
19- I don't have enough movies from certain time period.
20- I don't have any movies from a certain actor or actress, fpr some reason I like to have everyone represented in my collection.
21- I don't have any moviees of a certain director, writer or producer in my collection.
22- I am trying to get everything that a certain actor, actress, producer, director or writer did.
23. A actress I like gets naked or near naked in it.

and you forgot the number one reason for us old guys  .,.  Nostalgic ..
( hint hint.. last purchase - Gilligan's Island - Season One - 916 min 4 double sided discs..,lots of extras and for all of $15 ,,  it may never get watched.. but  then again it might real soon.. 

You remember that 7 year old granddaughter of mine will someday get my collection ....  ) ..

I buy lots because of Nostalgia... but I also enjoy watching them for the same reason. But for this old stuff... my favorite thing to do is watch what I liked to watch as a kid with my kid! There has been many of my old shows I watched with my daughter... she seems to either love every second of it... or just shakes her head in disbelief!

33. It's a real movie print and not a VHS conversion (quite rare with my type of cinema)
