I just downloaded the new version and now when i tried resorting my collection numbers, it refuses to use #1. It says there are 3622 movies in there and numbers them 2-3622 and wont use #1, ive tried several sorting options

To solve this perform a complete backup of your database.
When finished perform a partial restore. The profile at the top of the listing (most likely without a name, but a checkbox in front of it) is the corrupted. The rest should be restored
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I had the same situation where my collection list would refuse to use a number '508" ... I look at everything to get his fixed .. and the only way around it was to use the second option below reassign all collection numbers to partial reassignment . .and I do have a number #1 ..
I also have almost 1200 owned  but I only 'number' certain titles and not all ...
