Universal has a feature on most of their BluRay releases called U-Control.  In the past we profiled this as another feature.  However the best I can tell this is a Picture In Picture feature just with Universal's own name branding.

Now to make things even more confusing is sometimes they will list features on a BluRay release with U-Control as one feature and Picture In Picture as another feature.

Is U-Control really Picture In Picture or should it be listed as Other Feature?

I would list it as "other Feature" as they use both sometimes on a Blu-ray,
If it would be the same , it makes no sense to use two different names for it.

just my 2 cents

U-Control can have PiP features in it, but not necessarily. It can also contain much more with or without PiP included.

So far the US "Universal" releases I have seen that have U-Control have been a Picture In Picture feature.  I understand they have done some of the overseas releases differently but, I haven't checked out every U-Control disc I have.  Personally I don't like PiP I hate watching special features in a window.

So I guess we would handle U-Control this way, if the U-Control feature causes this to happen "Picture-in-picture content integrated into the main feature or supplimental content, not including the menus themselves." Then we will tick "Picture-in-picture", if it causes a non PiP content as well then we add it to other features.

Most of the Ucontrol stuff I've seen is still images that come up (example: in Heroes season 1, you get enlarged versions of Isaac's artwork whenever it's on screen). PiP would be video content.

Really?  Quite a lot of the U-Control stuff I've seen (granted, most of what I saw was the HD DVD version as opposed to the BD version) has been video content.  Maybe BD's version is more limited in what it can do.

BD has the same capabilities (at least as of the 1.1 profile), but not all U-control is video stuff.
