Had some problems with my DVD Profiler about a month ago. It wouldn't load at all and would often crash my system trying. After about a week of this it started loading again but since then it more often than not says the dvds I try to add to my collection are not in the database. And these are titles that certainly have to be in the database - No Country For Old Men, Slumdog Millionaire, Inglorious Basterds, etc.
If I try again a few days later, they'll often go through on the second try but not always. I've tried adding No Country For Old Men at least a dozen times but it keeps saying the title is unknown.
Does anyone have any ideas?

The crashing portion maybe tied to the images in your database therefore try the database repair. If all this fails .. backup your titles both through the invleos web site and also on a harddrive or memory stix,, Remove all of Profiler thur control panel add/remove section .. use a registry fix program ..
scan all Hardrives for bad sectors and crossed files .. reboot - install profiler fresh and use the backups.. If Harddrive fails to restore ., backup from Invelos instead . | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

and to your own Invleos on line collection?
use google to find information on scanning / and defragging Hd with your type of windows..
use google search to find how to remove programs from your PC ..

I can do the first two things you listed. I'll look up the house registry fix.

| | Posted: | | | | also it could be that your online database file is corrupt. If from the menu bar (I think its under dvd, online) choose refresh online profile list (or something along those lines) hold the ctrl key while you select that option and it will redownload the entire list (may take a few minutes depending on your speed)
Also I'd suggest running a database repair. I would try at least these steps first before reinstalling profiler
