I have a DVD (UPC 779836-112798, ISBN 1-894789-88-1) with:

Side 1: "One of my Wives is Missing", from TV (circa 1976, w/ Tony Franciscus, Jack Klugman, Elizabeth Ashley)

Side 2: "Charade" (Film, w/ Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn, Walter Matthau, etc)

From "Quality Special Products" in Canada (comments on copyright issues welcome, especially the TV version)

As I understand the contribution rules:

I create an entry for side 1, using the Disc ID for that side.  I assume that the Disc ID of the second side is NOT entered here.

I create a second entry for side 2, using the Disc ID for that side.  Question #1: Does this disc ID go into side "A" or "B"?  I assume that the Disc ID of the first side is NOT entered here.

I create a third entry as a box set, and include the first two entries above.

I scan the front/back images into the box set, and then copy them to the first two entries. Question #2:  Is the box set marked as a film or TV under "rating system" for the box set (I don't see how to leave that blank)?

Unsure what QSP's Canada locale has to do with anything.  Both films should be CoO USA.

You're correct as far as not entering the disc IDs for the other sides, just for the side of that profile.  For side B I expect you should properly enter it in the space for Side B.

Parent (set) profile - don't enter the disc IDs at all, but put the profiles into the "Box Set Contents" section.

As for your second question, I'd likely use Film for the rating system for the parent profile.

"Quality Special Products" is the name of the media company on the back of the DVD case;  aren't they the country of origin for the box set?  Clearly the USA is the country of origin of the productions.

I don't know what the copyright issues are for "One of my Wives is Missing" (a made-for-TV movie).  The quality is that of a VCR copy.  I haven't looked at the quality of side 2 ("Charade"), as the disc is in a changer and I have "Charade" on another DVD anyway.

Country of Origin refers to the production company that made the film, not where the DVD was made or who holds the copyright currently.  Only where the production company (or companies) is headquartered.

For Box Sets, some people prefer to leave this field blank (since there are no production companies, only media companies/publishers).  Others (such as myself) prefer that if everything in the box has the same CoO to enter that in the Parent Profile.  The rules do not specify either way.
