Today i've bought the italian version of the 4 disc of the latest title from Pixar (italian version).
When i'm trying to add this title, i've discovered that the UPC number of my release (8717418244521), was the same of the Limited Edition with Luxo Lamp (that contains the same slipcase release packed as shown here (http://tinyurl.com/yl9vhlt)
In this case how i make the difference between the two release ?

Locally only (which sucks on every level).

I have a hard time believing that they used the same exact UPC for both releases.  I buy quite a few of these sets, though not this one, and the UPCs have always been different.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I've seen UK releases that reuse the same UPC for these things in the past. Double annoying as it tends to mean retailers putting a sticker over the barcode so they don't scan the same.

What's possible is that whoever added the lamp version used the code from the back of the slip cover & the actual box the whole set comes in has its own code. If that's the case, then your version should get the UPC from the slip & the lamp should use the main box.

Of course you'll need to verify if that's the case.

that would be my guess, pretty sure this is how the US set is done. the same standalone blu-ray case is just packaged in a larger box that contains the lamp.

Wow, did italy really got the Lamp version???  <envy>

Actually a contribution for this profile is pending for changing it to your version.

Just a idea: You can ask the original contributor if he owns this set and if he has taken the UPC from the outer packaging. (The included BR could have the same UPC as the single sold, but the package often has another) Or perhaps he had this as import and contributed it with the wrong locality.

As the cover images just shows the pic you gave as link and in this case not the back of the packaging/UPC you can just know if you ask.

Btw, didn't find it a italian website, that sells the Luxo package.

Why didn't I have this idea earlier.

Just a Google search with the UPC:
http://www.google.de/search?hl=de&safe=off&q=8717418244521&start=0&sa=N

All list them as the 2 BluRay + DVD - Set.
So the chance would be good, that the Luxo package has a different UPC.

Thought I had one but despite it being an Italian site, the info was for the US version.

Now I found it.

The italian Luxo Lamp Package has UPC 8717418226114.
And not 8717418244521. So the existing profile is wrong.

http://cgi.ebay.it/UP--2-Blu-ray+DVD+Luxo-lampada-LIMITED-EDITION_W0QQitemZ230412877269QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20091216?IMSfp=TL091216205001r6776

http://www.google.de/search?hl=de&safe=off&q=8717418226114&btnG=Suche&meta=&aq=f&oq=

Good find!

In that case, the standard version will override the exisiting profile (which I see has already been contributed by another user) and the limited edition will need to be added with that number (down to whichever user has it).
