Apologies if this should be in Trading Post forum - but I'm not actually selling anything so I thought I'd just post it here.

Some years ago, a friend borrowed my Tin edition of Band of Brothers and never returned it - he now works abroad and I didn't fancy replacing it with either a cardboard edition or a secondhand one with unknown quality. I've never seen the Tin for sale anywhere new for years except for the Blueray edition.

Imagine my surprise to pop into Tesco in Dundee today (16 Jan 2010) and see the Tin edition for sale for £15 (stickered £18 but scans at £15). And they had a good few in stock.

This is identical to the original release in every respect, the ONLY difference is a new UPC, and even that is just a sticker over the original release's UPC on the slipcase. So I'm not sure if this is a technically a reissue or some old stock that has been found but for £15 new I am extremely happy!

So if anyone in the UK wants Band of Brothers on DVD and wants the Tin version, a trip to your local Tesco might be in order.

BTW I've contributed this reissue.

Good price...except....I got my Blu-ray boxset in a tin for only £15.99!...and I think it's still available at that price.

So, if you've gone Blu buy it now!

Just finished watching it tonight and it was definitely worth the upgrade!!

I managed to snaffle mine at £17.99 on bluray, and looking forward to watching the series again in HD, especially now with Neils recommedation

I picked it up on Blu-ray the other day for £19.99. The most expensive but still a decent price IMHO.
