I purchased a second hand version of this on Ebay, and I noticed some strange thing.

I received UPC: 014381412222. This is in the online database as a US locality.

The cover I have looks almost the same except for 4 differences.
- The top left image is different.
- NTSC logo is missing from my cover
- Language: ENGLISH (5.1 Surround & Sterio LT RT) as oposed to Language: ENGLISH (Stereo) online
- Sub-titles: FRENCH - missing from online.

Now, when I select 5.1 from the menu, it says "This Feature is unavailable on this version of the disc". Would this be the Canada version ?

And since, the US version doesn't even list 5.1 on the cover, has a version ever been released that even has 5.1 sound (given it's a low budget 1985 thriller).

Anyone owns this title who can verify?

I own all of those "Nico Mastorakis Collection" DVD's (I think there were about twelve), and many of them actually display that "This Feature is unavailable on this version of the disc" message with the audio tracks. Only a couple of them actually include a 5.1 audio track. None of them have French subtitles though.

The cover in the database matches my coverart for Blind Date. I purchased it in a USA Best Buy store back in 2003 when it was first released.

I really haven't got a clue why your covers are different, or if any version of the DVD actually included the 5.1 track.

I'll check disc id's when I get home, to see if they are different. If they are the same, I'll add the cover to the re-release cover thread. If they are different, I'll try to find out if a Canadian release exists.
