The CSI series are my favorites. IMO they are some of the best written, produced and casted. The CSI series generally have very informative special features.

I have always wondered why do they have all those Producers on a TV series. Well I finally found out. I was watching CSI: NY: The Fifth Season. In between episode 508 and 509 on disc 3 was the title 100th Episode Special Feature. It contain the following:
Pre-Production: Planning the Perfect Murder (24:13)
Production: Shoot to Kill (18:16)
Post-Production: Crime Scene Cleanup (18:26)
Celebrating 100: Evidence of a Hit (5:17)

In the first three features each of the major crew members explains their function in that phase of producing an episode. The last is the party celebrating the 100th episode.

Since at any time they are working about four episodes the record keeping to track everything is amazing. Each producer or executive producer has a phase of the process they are responsible for.

I wish my computer hardware and software co-workers had done as well when at two o'clock in the morning your trying to find a bug in the hypervisor running multiple different operating systems and the guy that designed the circuit board for interface to the network processors doesn't work there any more.
We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.
