Hi there,

Now Christmas is upon us I am busy adding in new discs...but I have a question relating to boxsets & child profiles?

Up until now when I added a boxset it was a simple task of adding the UPC code and in went all the details for the discs inside the boxset

Easy...

However now when I add a boxset I am prompted to add child profiles but for each child profile I add it increments my DVD collection total up by one disc.

In the past a boxset used only to take up one 'slot' if you like so a single boxset was always counted as one disk which was good for me.

Now though it adds a disc for every child profile...I just bought the Extras boxset for example which to me would be one disc in my collection - now however it is counted as three.

If I remove the child profiles or add it again answering No to adding the child profiles I see no details listed against the boxset for disc info.

Thank God I added my Babylon 5 boxset some time ago with an earlier version!

Is there a way to get DVDP to revert to its previous behaviour please?

Thanks & regards,
-=Glyn=-

On movie boxsets the parent profile (main profile) has been bare for quite a long time now. It is different with TV Series though... as all info is in both the parent profile as well as child profiles.

There is no way to change to the "old" way... as that info just isn't in the parent profile for movie sets.

As for counting... You can choose to number just the parent profile by going to the personalize screen of the child profiles and click none under the numbering. At this point there is nothing you can do with the total DVDs count. But in the beta you will be able to change that number as well.
