Hello!

I have the James Bond Bluray 6 Box EAN 4-045167-007314. Although this box does not contain individual covers, the covers of the single films are stored in the database. Maybe because the individual films were the first edition. Okay.
But:
At the Alien Quadrilogie no individual Covers are included in the DB, but only scans of the discs. Why? Furthermore, I have uploaded the Fast and Furious box for contribution. The box contains four single Keep Cases with covers. Why do such covers should not be in database? Just because there is a Steelbook too, that does not contain Covers? The single Bds have been released before the Steelbook!

Greeting

I just can say something to the Fast and Furios box set. (But this will be very similiar to the other profiles you mentioned, i think)

The first release of FF box set was a Steelcase with the 4 discs of the 4 movies. (Not with seperate covers) So the first profile was with parent profile with UPC and scan of the Case, the child profiles where added over Disc Id with, according to the rules, the same scan as the parent. (because of no seperate covers) Imho this is how it should be done regarding the rules.

It's right that the single Bds are released before the box set, but they where release with UPCs, so there was not any reason to add under Disc Id. So the first need to use disc id was the first released box set (steelcase). -> Always the first wins!

Only thing you can make, if you like the other covers more, you can add it locally and lock it down.
(Of course they look better, but that's no reason to forget the rules)

I believe VirusPil is correct.  This is the unfortunate result of distributors releasing the same exact thing in multiple packages.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

This is, no matter how you turn it, an incorrect profile.
Please correct it and use the images of the parent profile if the children have no individual covers.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Hi!

That is, what i will do, because this matches the non Steelbook Box best.
It would be nice, there would be a better Solution for this cases.

Thanks for your answers!

The probleme you got with the FF box set is very similiar to the proplem with re-release covers, DVD versions, ... (and also sometimes totally different movies) with the same UPC/EAN.

All that's first is what's online in database. For all following you've got to make the different things in a new version locally.

The only way to get this re-release and other things mentioned above online, would be the possibility to make different versions of one UPC/EAN. (And as Invelos won't take the this feature in DVD Profiler you have not this possibility)
But this possibility is something that would start a lot of work and a big discussion. Starting with how this multiple profiles should be named. (UPC V1, UPC V2, ... or UPC release date1, UPC release date2, ... or ...)
And btw this would make DVD Profiler less userfriendly. Think about adding a movie with UPC and the you first have to choose between 5 or 10 profiles.
